The Nintendo Switch OLED handheld gaming console on October 8, 2021. According to a new report, it has set sales charts on fire in the US by selling about 3.14 lakh units out of the total 7.11 lakh of the Nintendo Switch consoles in October 2021. Another report states that the Nintendo Switch also took the crown of the UK’s top-selling gaming console during October 2021. However, when it comes to streaming apps, the options a sorely limited on the Nintendo Switch, and it only had access to Funimation, Hulu, Pokemon TV, and YouTube. Major streaming service, Netflix, was available on Nintendo platforms like Wii U and 3DS the last generation isn’t accessible anymore. To solve this solution a bit, Nintendo has now released the Twitch app for the Nintendo Switch.
Twitch focuses on live video gaming streaming, especially e-sports competitions. It also offers music, video, and other interesting content on its platform. Twitch has around 44 million users in the US, forecasted to grow to 51 million in a couple of years. Nintendo Switch users can find the Twitch app by visiting the eShop on the console and by just searching ‘Twitch’ there. The app weighs just 31MB in size and supports Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese languages.
How To Download Twitch App On Nintendo Switch
- On your Switch console, click on the eShop logo on the bottom of the home screen
- At the top-left corner of the eShop, click on the Search/Browse option
- Type in ‘Twitch’ and scroll until you see the listing
- Click on the app listing and then click ‘free download’
- Follow the necessary actions and the app will show up on your home screen
- After the app installation is done you can open it up, sign in and start streaming your favourite content.
- You can also scan a QR code on your phone or enter an eight-digit code shown on your screen at https://www.twitch.tv/activate to sign in to your account.
