Nokia is reportedly rolling out the Android 12 update to its mid-range smartphone, the Nokia G20. The update also packs in the May 2022 security patch. The Nokia G20 was launched back in July 2021 and came with Android 11 out of the box. Now, it is finally set to receive the Android 12 operating system and will join other Nokia devices running the latest firmware.
The news comes from Austria, where a user claimed to have received the Android 12 update. According to the report, the Android 12 update with the May 2022 security patch weighs 1.97GB in size. The update for the Nokia G20 in Austria comes with a firmware version (v2.230).

Nokia G20 Android 12 Features
The Android 12 update brings a revamped UI design with Material You theming, more modern widgets, and better stock apps. The phone also gets better privacy and security through features like Privacy Dashboard, quick setting toggles to enable/disable camera and microphone access across the system, and privacy indicators for active camera and microphone usage.
The new update also brings smoother performance in the UI, widgets for favourite contacts, better accessibility features, and the option to use approximate or precise location data for apps and services. It also makes transferring data from other phones easier. It also brings support for scrolling screenshots.
