Nokia has finally made the Nokia G50 official. The mid-range smartphone from the company features a 6.82-inch HD+ display and it features a 48MP triple-camera setup at the rear. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor. As for the software, the handset runs Android 11 out of the box. Other features of the device include an 8MP front-facing camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5G connectivity, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The phone comes in two colours: Midnight Sun and Ocean Blue. The device is available for purchase in the UK. It will be soon be launched in other European markets. Nokia hasn’t revealed any details regarding the phone’s availability in India.

The Nokia G50 features a 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution (1,640 x 720 pixels). The display panel has up to 450 nits of peak brightness and up to 70% of NTSC colour gamut coverage. Sadly, the display doesn’t offer any higher refresh rate. Powering the device is an octa-core 8nm Snapdragon 480 5G processor. The smartphone packs 4GB/6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB/128GB (UFS 2.1) of internal storage. You can expand the storage of the handset with the help of a microSD card up to 512GB.
The smartphone boots Android 11 out of the box with a stock Android-like UI. The device will receive two years of software upgrades and three years of monthly security updates. As for the cameras, the handset sports a triple-camera setup at its rear. The circular camera module includes a 48MP wide-angle camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, the device features an 8MP selfie camera.
The Nokia G50 measures 173.83 × 77.68 × 8.85mm and weighs 220 grammes. Connectivity-wise the smartphone features a dual-SIM card slot, 5G (SA/NSA), dual-4G VoLTE, FM Radio, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. A 5,000mAh battery fuels the smartphone and it supports 18W fast charging.
