OnePlus has started seeding a new Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 update for its 2021 flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The update brings the security update patch for January 2022 and includes three new dark mode settings, system stability improvements, improved Gallery, optimised camera, added gestures, Canvas AOD, Card options, and much more.
The company made the announcement on the OnePlus forum that its OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones in India, Europe, North America regions would be getting the update. The OnePlus 9 in India will get the firmware version LE2111_11_C.44, LE2113_11_C.44 in the European region, and LE2115_11_C.44 in North America. Indian OnePlus 9 Pro users will get the firmware version LE2121_11_C.44, Europeans will receive the LE2123_11_C.44 in Europe, and North American users will get the LE2125_11_C.44 update.

The OTA (Over The Air) update will be rolled out in a phased manner and may take some time before you get the notification. It is advisable to take a backup of your important files before proceeding with any update. Also, make sure your device is charged to about 80 percent before attempting to update.
