OnePlus is all set to launch its next high-end smartphone. The OnePlus 9RT launch date is October 13, 2021, in China. The company has officially confirmed the launch date via its official Weibo handle in the country earlier today. The OnePlus 9RT will join the company’s existing OnePlus 9 series devices: OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9R, and OnePlus 9 Pro. The OnePlus 9RT will resemble the OnePlus 9R in terms of design and it even has similar specifications, except for the camera. Let us have a look at the expected OnePlus 9RT specifications ahead.

However, the company might confirm the launch date of the OnePlus 9RT for the Indian market later today or over the next few days. Moving onto the teaser revealed by OnePlus on Weibo, the OnePlus 9RT will have a metal unibody design and a 50MP triple-camera setup. Previously leaked images reveal that the OnePlus 9RT will retain the alert slider as well. As far as the other specifications of the handset go, it is expected to feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 9RT could come equipped with the Snapdragon 870 processor. The smartphone might have 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Past leaks reveal that the OnePlus 9RT will feature a 50MP primary camera (Sony IMX766 sensor), similar to that of the OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus 9 Series. The rear camera module might also include a 16MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. A 4,500mAh battery is expected to power the device and it could support 65W fast charging.
On the software front, we can expect the device to boot ColorOS 12 out of the box in China. Connectivity features of the device might include a dual-SIM card slot, 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. As far as the pricing of the device goes, the device is expected to retail somewhere between CNY 2,000 (around ₹23,300) and CNY 3,000 (around ₹35,000).

It has also been revealed that OnePlus might unveil the second-generation OnePlus Buds Z series truly wireless earbuds. After the massive success of the OnePlus Buds Z, the company might unveil the OnePlus Buds Z2 alongside the OnePlus 9RT. As per the leaked images of the OnePlus Buds Z2 (via @evleaks), the upcoming truly wireless earphones are expected to follow the same design as their predecessor, complete with a pill-shaped box. There is still no information about what improvements it could bring, but a dual-driver audio setup, improved call quality, and longer battery life would be appreciated by many.
