Dimensity 8100-Powered OnePlus Ace Launch Date Confirmed

OnePlus will continue to release multiple smartphones every year, stepping away from its early policy to launch just two smartphones each year. The company recently confirmed that it will launch two new smartphones as well as truly wireless earbuds in India later this month. During the April 28, 2022 event, the OnePlus 10R, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, and OnePlus Nord earbuds are expected to be unveiled.

Now, in a sudden but expected move, OnePlus has officially confirmed the existence and the launch date of the OnePlus Ace. The OnePlus Ace launch date was revealed on the Chinese microblogging service Weibo. The smartphone is set to debut on April 21, 2022, in the company’s hometown. OnePlus Ace Launch Date Revealed

The OnePlus Ace will debut in China on April 21, 2022, about a week away from now. The launch event is scheduled at 7 PM (Chinese local time), which translates to 4:30 PM IST. While the invite doesn’t reveal any specifications, it does show off the phone in all its glory. The phone is visible in two colour options Black and a Rainbow (Blue).

OnePlus Ace Specifications

The OnePlus Ace is rumoured to be launched as the OnePlus 10R in India. It has a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone comes equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, which has four performance cores clocked at 2.85GHz and four efficiency cores running at 2GHz. The phone runs Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 out of the box. The phone lacks the iconic OnePlus Alert Slider and the 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for imaging, the OnePlus 10R (OnePlus Ace) is said to pack a triple-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 50MP primary sensor (Sony IMX766) with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone may have a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.
