OnePlus has added a new smartphone to its Ace lineup—the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition. The handset is a cheaper version of the OnePlus Ace but its camera module design is reminiscent of the OnePlus 10 Pro. The Ace Racing Edition is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor and a 5,000mAh battery.

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition comes in three configurations—8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. The pricing is as follows:

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition will be available for purchase starting May 31 in China. OnePlus is yet to announce the global availability of the handset.

OnePlus Ace Racing Edition: Specifications And Features

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition offers a 6.59-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ (2,412 × 1,080 pixel) resolution, 402ppi pixel density, and 600 nits peak brightness. It has a 120Hz refresh rate display panel that supports 240Hz touch sampling rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Powering the latest OnePlus Ace series device is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor. Built on TSMC’s 5nm fabrication process, the Dimensity 8100 Max brings with it an integrated Mali G610 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The handset boots ColorOS 12.1, based on Android 12.

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition offers a triple-rear camera setup including a 64MP primary shooter with an F1.7 aperture. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 112° field of view and an F2.2 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the handset relies on a 16MP front shooter.

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support. It offers a Type-C charging port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition comes in two colour options—Athletics Grey and Lightspeed Blue. It weighs 205 grams and measures 164.3 × 75.8 × 8.7mm. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual-SIM, 5G, Dual-band WiFi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, Beidou, Glonass, and Galileo.
