OnePlus has launched the OnePlus Buds Z2 in Europe and the US. These new truly wireless earphones are the successors to the popular OnePlus Buds Z. The OnePlus Buds Z2 were launched alongside the OnePlus 9RT in China in October 2022. Although they look similar to the OnePlus Buds Z, the OnePlus Buds Z2 offer ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and longer battery life.
The newer wireless earbuds feature 11mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.2, Dolby Atmos support, and an IPX4 rating for water resistance. Let us take a more detailed look at the OnePlus Buds Z2 specifications and pricing.
OnePlus Buds Z2 Pricing And Availability
The OnePlus Buds Z2 price is $99 (around ₹7,550) in the US and EUR 99 (around ₹8,550) in Europe. OnePlus has not announced when it would launch the OnePlus Buds Z2 in India. The OnePlus Buds Z2 comes in Pearl White and Obsidian Black colour variants. The Obsidian Black variant will be available for purchase next year, though.
OnePlus Buds Z2 Specifications, Features
The OnePlus Buds Z2 uses 11mm dynamic drivers, similar to the OnePlus Buds Z, but the company is promising better audio quality through better audio tuning. The new earbuds also offer ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) that was missing in its predecessor. The earphones use a Bluetooth 5.2 chip that supports SBC and AAC. Unfortunately, there’s no support for aptX, aptX Adaptive, or LDAC.
The Buds Z2 also have the mono mode, which means that you can use any earbud for voice calls. There is Transparency Mode, too, which lets you hear nearby sounds so you can respond if someone wants to talk to you. Similar to the other OnePlus Buds, the audio tuning and controls of the Buds Z2 can be customized on OnePlus phones. However, if you are using a non-OnePlus Android smartphone or an iPhone, you will need to download the HeyMelody app for those customizations.
