OnePlus is gearing up to launch a new handset under the Nord lineup. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, the successor of the last year’s OnePlus Nord CE, will debut in the Indian market on February 17 according to the announcement. The company took to its social media channels to post the first teaser for the upcoming launch. Let’s take a look at the teaser.
The specifications of the Nord CE 2 5G were leaked on the web a couple of months back. According to the leaked information, the Nord CE 2 will be the first OnePlus handset with a dedicated micro-SD card slot. In a latest development, the Nord CE 2 5G specifications have once again been leaked by Ishan Agarwal.

The Nord 2 CE will offer a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. The display panel will make room for an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and will also have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The system on chip is built on a 7nm fabrication process and brings 5G connectivity to the table. The handset will be shipped with Android 11-based OxygenOS. However, the leaker claims that the company will provide two major software updates to the handset, which means the Nord CE 2 will be upgraded to Android 12 as well as Android 13 in the future. It is said to get the Android security patch updates for three years.
The Nord CE 2 will sport a triple-rear camera setup including a 64MP primary shooter. Accompanying it will be an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 119° field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the device is said to offer a 16MP shooter which could be the Sony IMX471 sensor.
The Nord CE 2 will be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery and 65W SuperVOOC fast charging support. The handset will offer a USB Type-C charging port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a dedicated micro-SD card slot. Similar to the Nord CE, the Nord CE 2 will also lack the alert slider. It will retail in Bahamas Blue and Gray Mirror colour options. The handset will be about 7.8mm thick and will weigh 173grams.
In a separate leak, tipster Abhishek Yadav claims that the handset will cost ₹23,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. Whereas, the 8GB + 128GB variant of the device will cost ₹25,999.
