OnePlus has announced the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Android 12 update in closed beta testing in India. The mid-range OnePlus smartphone was launched in India in February 2022. Despite launching it in H1 2022, OnePlus shipped the Nord CE 2 with Android 11-based OxygenOS 11.3 which was a shame. OnePlus took to the OnePlus Community forum to make a formal announcement for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Android 12 Closed Beta program. To those unaware, an OxygenOS Closed Beta program is typically the first step towards the stable release and we can expect the company to roll out OnePlus Nord CE 2 OxygenOS 12 Stable update in the coming weeks.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta Testing Program: 200 Testers To Be Selected

OnePlus plans to recruit 200 best tests for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta testing program. These testers need to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with the company to proceed with the closed beta testing program.

With the help of these testers, the brand will test OnePlus Nord CE 2 Android 12 firmware thoroughly. After the testing is done and bugs are reported, OnePlus will move to OnePlus Nord CE 2 Android 12 Open Beta program in the coming weeks.

OnePlus is adopting a new strategy for the Closed Beta testing programs and as a result instead of long-term Closed Beta testing, the brand is now looking at short-term Closed Beta programs.

• The applicant must be a OnePlus Community forum member.
• The applicant must be willing to report issues and also provide suggestions to the OxygenOS development team.
• The applicant must be willing to take a risk as CBT versions are likely to have some bugs that can even affect the system’s stability.
