The OnePlus Pad is rumoured to be out in a couple of months from now. According to a report, the OnePlus Pad will run on the Android 12L OS. Google’s Android 12L operating system is specifically built for tablets and foldable devices and brings multi-column layouts for notification shade, multi-column layout for applications, improved side by side multitasking, and optimisations to apps that don’t run on big displays, among many other features.
It will be the first instance of OnePlus venturing into the tablet territory. There could be multiple variants of the tablet, just like Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Going by its smartphone strategy, OnePlus will try to launch it at affordable prices when compared to the tablets from the South Korean giant.
