OPPO A55 With 6.5-inch HD+ Display, Helio G35 Processor Launched In India

OPPO has launched the OPPO A55 4G smartphone in India. The OPPO A55 succeeds the OPPO A54 smartphone which was launched in India earlier this year. The OPPO A55 sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole-shaped cutout towards the top left corner which houses the selfie camera. The smartphone is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G35 processor. The device features a 50MP triple-camera setup on the rear, 6GB of RAM, and a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

OPPO A55 Price In India

The OPPO A55 price in India starts at ₹15,490 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model. The top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at ₹17,490. The smartphone comes in Rainbow Blue and Starry Black colour variants. The device is currently listed on OPPO India’s website for pre-order. The handset will go on sale in India via Amazon and OPPO website.

OPPO A55 Specifications

The OPPO A55 sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution (1,600 x 720 pixels), a punch-hole-shaped cutout at the top left corner for the selfie camera, a 60Hz refresh rate, a 120Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 550 nits brightness. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The device also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

On the software side of things, the A55 boots Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 11.1. The smartphone features a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP primary main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and, a 2MP macro lens. The device features a 16MP front-facing camera.

In terms of connectivity, the A55 has a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone ships with a 5,000mAh battery that has 18W fast charging support. The OPPO A55 measures 163.6 × 75.7 × 8.4mm and weighs 193g. The other features of the A55 include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI-powered Face Unlock, and an IPX6 rating.
