OPPO K10 5G With Dimensity 8000-Max, 120Hz Display Launched In China: Specifications

OPPO has also launched a vanilla K10 5G smartphone alongside the OPPO K10 Pro 5G in China. It will be a successor to the OPPO K9. However, it loses the Super AMOLED display in favour of a high refresh rate LCD. Additionally, the OPPO K10 5G will come with a much more powerful MediaTek Dimensity processor when compared to the mid-range Snapdragon 768G chipset of its predecessor.

OPPO K10 5G: Features, Specifications

The OPPO K10 5G sports a 6.59-inch Full HD+ LCD with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. The handset is powered by MediaTek’s recently-introduced Dimensity 8000-Max chipset. It is built on TSMC’s 5nm fabrication process and is an octa-core CPU with four Cortex A78 high-performance cores and four Cortex A55 efficiency cores. The chipset also packs in an ARM Mali-G610 GPU and a MediaTek 580 APU. Performance-wise, it falls slightly behind the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. However, it has the potential to beat Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset in real life, as it managed to outscore it in synthetic benchmarks. OPPO has also employed a Diamond VC Liquid Cooling tech to enable it to sustain high frame rates in games for an extended period of time. 

In terms of imaging, the OPPO K10 is equipped with a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfie aficionados, there’s a 16MP snapper housed in the left-aligned punch-hole camera cutout at the front. 

Connectivity features include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, and USB Type-C, among others. Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and stereo speakers. The handset is powered by a 5000mAh battery under the hood, coupled with a 67W SuperVOOC fast charging support. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 12.1 on top of Android 12 OS out of the box. 

OPPO K10 5G: Price, Availability

The OPPO K10 5G is priced aggressively at a starting price of CNY 1999 (approx. ₹23,400) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. The top-spec 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant comes with a price tag of CNY 2499 (approx. ₹29,400) in China. It comes in Dark Night and Ice Blue colourways. There’s no word about its global launch yet.
