The Oppo Pad flaunts a metal chassis with flat sides along with uniform bezels surrounding the screen. The rear panel could be metal or frosted glass with a single rear camera that sits relatively flush with its body. The tablet will measure just 6.5mm in thickness and will weigh about 500 grams. The teasers showcase a stylus pen, which may be an optional accessory as the device doesn’t seem to come with a slot or a magnetic dock at the rear to hold it.
Digital Chat Station from Oppo’s home country, China, suggests that the Oppo Pad sports a massive 10.95-inch LCD with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution and a 120Hz screen refresh rate. The device is powered by a very potent Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset built on the 7nm fabrication process, which may be old now but strikes a fine balance between performance and energy efficiency. It will be equipped with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage of UFS 3.1 type.
In terms of camera, the Oppo Pad will get a single 13MP primary camera at the back. For handling selfie and video calling duties, it will be equipped with a single 8MP camera at the front.
Other noteworthy features of the Oppo Pad include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, quad speakers, Dolby Atmos audio, and USB-C charging, among others. It will be powered by a massive 8,360mAh battery under its hood coupled with 33-watt fast charging. The tablet will run on Color OS on top of Android 12 when it goes on sale. The Oppo Pad will come in black and purple colourways with a fancy ‘Oppo’ branding at the rear.
