OPPO Reno8 Z 5G With 6.43-inch AMOLED Display, Snapdragon 695 Processor Launched

The Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has introduced the Reno 8 series smartphones—the OPPO Reno8 and the OPPO Reno 8 Pro—in Thailand. Alongside these devices, the company also launched a completely new smartphone, dubbed the OPPO Reno8 Z 5G in Thailand.

The OPPO Reno8 Z 5G has similar specifications as that of the Reno7 Z 5G, except that it has a redesigned back and comes in the Dawnlight Gold colour option. The device sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, a 64MP triple-camera setup, and a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 processor and packs a 4,500mAh battery.

OPPO Reno8 Z 5G Pricing, Availability

The OPPO Reno8 Z 5G comes in Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black colour options. The device is priced at THB12,990 (roughly ₹28,700). The smartphone will be available for pre-order starting from today. The open sale of the handset will be held in the Thailand after August 14. As of now, OPPO has not announced any details regarding the global availability of the device.

OPPO Reno8 Z 5G Specifications, Features

On the software side of things, the Reno8 Z 5G runs Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12.1 UI on top. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 695 processor which is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device also has microSD card support for storage expansion. For security, the phone features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The back of the device consists of a triple-camera setup comprising a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP mono camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. Both the 2MP sensors have an f/2.4 aperture. The front of the handset includes a punch-hole cutout that houses the 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone sports a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that has Full HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and a 409 PPI pixel density.

The device is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Other key features include 5G, face unlock support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
