OPPO has officially launched the OPPO Watch 3 series in China, as promised earlier. The new smartwatch series from the company arrives as a successor to the Watch 2 which debuted last year in July.
When it comes to the specifications of the newly launched Watch 3 series, it comes in two variants—the vanilla OPPO Watch 3 and the OPPO Watch 3 Pro. Both these smartwatches are powered by the Snapdragon W5 chipset and run ColorOS software out of the box. In the RTOS-only mode, the Pro and vanilla models are reported to last for 15 days and 14 days respectively. Let us take a look at the pricing and detailed specifications of the OPPO Watch 3 series.
OPPO Watch 3 Series Pricing, Availability
The OPPO Watch 3 vanilla model with a black rubber strap is priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly ₹19,000), while the variant with a brown leather strap costs CNY 1,699 (roughly ₹20,000). On the other hand, the Watch 3 Pro with a black rubber strap retails for CNY 1,999 (roughly ₹24,000), while the brown leather strap version costs CNY 2,099 (roughly ₹24,700).
Both these variants are currently available for pre-order in China. They will go on sale in China from August 19, 2022 at 12 PM. As of now, the company is yet to reveal the global availability of the OPPO Watch 3 series.
OPPO Watch 3 Series Specifications, Features
The OPPO Watch 3 sports a square dial, similar to that of the Watch 2. The standard Watch 3 model comes with a 1.75-inch AMOLED display that has a 430 x 372 pixel resolution, while the Watch 3 Pro features a 1.91-inch LTPO curved OLED display with a 496 x 378 pixel resolution. The latter model also supports the Always-On Display feature. Both these smartwatches have an aluminum alloy frame and fiberglass casing.
The all-new OPPO Watch 3 series is equipped with a Snapdragon W5 chipset which is accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both these smartwatches also house the Apollo 4 Plus chipset and boot dual-boot ColorOS which is based on WearOS and RTOS. The Watch 3 Pro can track 100 different workouts and it can also track ECG with automatic analysis of cardiovascular pathology. Furthermore, the smartwatch comes with heart rate and SpO2 sensors.
Both the smartwatches support eSIM functionality, continuous blood oxygen monitoring, over 80 commonly used apps, multi-dimensional tennis exercise recordings, and much more. The smartwatches also have more over 150 new watch faces, the Healthy Pixie Guide, Family Care Mode, and other smart features. The vanilla model packs a 400mAh battery while the Pro model comes with a 550mAh battery. The latter is claimed to last for four days, while the Pro model can offer five days of battery life. With LTE, the battery life on both the smartwatches drops by a day.
