Paytm and Healthifyme Launch Services to Find COVID-19 Vaccination Slots Easily

Starting 1st May, the Government of India started COVID-19 vaccinations for people aged between 18 years and 44 years. Up until then, it was available only to those who were 45 years and above. Although the government is now offering vaccinations for a wider age group, people have been finding it hard to book an appointment for the vaccination.

This is mainly being caused because of two reasons. The first one is that there is a shortage of vaccines in the country. The second reason is that due to the shortage of vaccines, the slots for the COVID-19 vaccinations are being filled up as soon as they are opened up. Therefore, people have to keep checking the CoWIN portal continuously or risk missing out on a slot.

To help with the issue, Paytm and HealthifyMe have launched new services that will help people easily find available vaccination slots in their area.

HealthifyMe, an Indian digital health and wellness platform, has launched the VaccinateMe platform today. It helps users to easily find available vaccine slots in their area. VaccinateMe can be accessed through the web browser as well as from the HealthifyMe app on Android and iOS. However, the developer suggests people use the latter.

All you need to do to use this service is go to the app, head to the COVID-19 vaccination section, and enter your area. The app will then show you the available vaccination slots in the region. You can also opt to get notified through SMS, WhatsApp, and email whenever the slots open up.

Alternatively, you can also go to the website and check for slots but it lacks the notification service. It is worth mentioning that you can only check for available slots on this platform. You can not book slots from here. For that, you need to head to the CoWin portal.

Coming to Paytm, its service to find available vaccination slots works similarly to that from HealthifyMe. To access it, open Paytm, go to the “Vaccine Finder” section, enter your area, and you’ll be presented with a list of available vaccine slots in your region. You can also opt to get notified whenever a vaccination slot becomes available. The Paytm app is available on Android and iOS.
