Philips is venturing into the gaming accessories segment, challenging the likes of Razer, Logitech, Steelseries, and more. The Dutch brand has announced a new gaming-focused sub brand called Evnia. Under the brand, the company has launched a new line of gaming monitors and gaming peripherals.
The Evnia brand will have three tiers of products—the 3000, 5000, and 7000-8000 series, with increasingly more features and quality as you move up. Each series will have its own gaming monitors, mouse, mechanical keyboard, headset, and mouse mats.

The monitors also feature a new Ambiglow system that provides ambient soft lighting directly from the monitors. Another distinction is that the top-end peripherals are wireless with 2.4G and Bluetooth support, while the lower tiers are wired offerings.
The mechanical keyboards carry the model numbers SPK8508 and SPK8708 and sport Cherry MX-switches. The gaming mice are named SPK9508 and SPK9708 and the gaming headsets named TAG5208 and TAG7208.
Of the newest gaming peripherals, the Philips Evnia monitors are the most exciting. The 7000-8000 series has three new gaming monitors—34M2C7600MV, 42M2N8900, and 34M2C8600. The first is a WQHD curved mini LED monitor with 165 Hz refresh rate and adaptive sync. It has 1152 dimming zones and is HDR1400 certified. The second is a 42-inch monitor with 4K UHD resolution, HDMI 2.1, and 138Hz refresh rate, achieved through a DisplayPort. The third model is a 34-inch monitor with QD-OLED panel, 1440p resolution, and 175Hz refresh rate. It is also HDR400 certified.
Philips has not announced the pricing of the products, which were launched at an event in Paris. However, reports claim that the 34M2C8600 is priced at EUR 579 (roughly ₹47,300) while the top end 34M2C7600MV is priced EUR 2069 (roughly ₹1,69,000). Philips said these monitors will be available for sale in December. The accessories will launch in June 2023.
