PlayStation 5 And Xbox Series X/S Get Latest Updates For Cyberpunk 2077

Patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 promises gameplay improvements, quest and gameplay fixes, along with free DLCs. Most importantly, it brings the next-gen update, which will bring Cyberpunk 2077 to the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Those who already have the game on their PS4 or Xbox One will get a free upgrade to the latest version.

Next Gen exclusives include ray-traced local light shadows and native achievement support. Two graphics modes, Performance Mode and Ray Tracing Mode, have been added for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Performance Mode lets you play the game at 60fps, whereas Ray Tracing Mode provides gameplay at 30fps.  

PS5 controllers will get haptic feedback with this update. You will now be able to customise your character’s appearance by using the mirror in any of your apartments and safehouses. Character customization includes more makeup and hair color options. Moreover, the patch offers additional content such as apartment renting in Night City. Some interactions will give you a temporary health buff. Combat AI has been improved, along with changes to the drive model and vehicle traffic.

Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Improvements

The “Easy” game mode has been made slightly more challenging. When it comes to combat, various optimizations have been made to the AI to improve combat experience. NPC animations have been smoothened and some visual effects have been added to the combat stims used by enemies. You will also be able to turn devices on and off while carrying a body. Note that all the Perk points you may have spent in the game have been reset. You can reassign your Perk points for free by navigating to the Perks screen. The update has also added new quests to the game.

Coming to the UI, the patch has updated graphics for various scopes. It also offers better readability, consistency and visuals in UI panels, notifications and popups. When a song starts playing on the radio, you will get a new notification with the song’s name. Getting into a vehicle will display its name.

How To Get The Cyberpunk 2077 1.5 Patch

The patch is approximately 50 GB on Xbox, PS4 and PC. PS5 users will have to manually download the update from the PlayStation Store, and then transfer one of their save files.
