Poco is preparing to launch its latest F-series smartphone for its global audience. The new device, which is believed to be the Poco F4, was teased by the Poco India team. The community post talks about the Poco F1, which marked the entry of the Xiaomi sub-brand in the market, and also offered a solid performance at affordable prices to the masses. It has been four years since the launch of the device, and the fact that the number 4 is being highlighted in the post is a giveaway that the new device is likely to be the Poco F4. Additionally, the F4’s India-specific firmware was spotted a couple of weeks back. So, it would be safe to assume that the Poco F4’s launch is imminent.
Poco F4: Expectations
The Poco community post also talks about the improvements in the display and audio department. To recall, the Poco F1 came with a pathetic LCD panel. The stereo speakers were loud at first, but with software updates, Poco reduced its volume. Reportedly, the Poco F4 will be a rebranded Redmi K40S. So hopefully, it will get a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. It is also expected to get better sounding stereo speakers.
The Poco F4 will be powered by a Snapdragon 870 chipset, which also powers Xiaomi’s Mi 11X smartphone in India. The Snapdragon 870 was the last known reliable and power-efficient flagship processor by Qualcomm, and Poco seems to have taken a safe approach by plonking it in the new Poco F4. You will be able to enjoy games suhc as PUBG/BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile at 60fps with this processor.

Leaked pictures of the rear panel of the upcoming F4 reveal that it will be identical to the Redmi K40S and there will be no fancy Poco design elements or colours.
The branding on the camera island suggests that it will be equipped with a 64MP primary sensor, as opposed to the 48MP sensor of the Redmi K40S. Leaked documents suggest that it will be a 64MP sensor by Omnivision coupled with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). The handset will pack in a 4,500mAh battery under its hood and will come with 67W fast charging support. We hope to get more info on the device in the coming days and will keep you posted on the same.
