Poco M4 5G With 50MP Camera, Dimensity Chipset Launched In India: Price

Poco has added the new Poco M4 5G to its lineup comprising of the previously launched Poco M4 Pro 5G and the Poco M4 Pro in India. The company says this handset is a successor to its Poco M3 device. The Poco M4 5G packs in a high screen refresh rate, large Full HD+ display, Dimensity processor, 50MP camera, and a massive battery, among other features.

Poco M4 5G: Features, Specifications

The Poco M4 5G follows the new Poco family design language, which Poco calls an OG design. The back panel gets a “Hypnotic Swirl Design” and a glossy black camera at the top. At the front, it gets an awful waterdrop notch style display. The handset sports a large 6.58-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz screen refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The refresh rate automatically adjusts to 30Hz, 60Hz, or 90Hz, depending on the content, to save battery. The display gets Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection. 

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is built on the 7nm fabrication process. It is a potent mid-range chipset which can be used for gaming without any issues. Additionally, it supports seven bands of 5G. The handset is equipped with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Its Turbo RAM feature adds 2GB of extra RAM, if required. 

In terms of camera, it comes with a 50MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. Poco has loaded it with camera features such as night mode, AI scene detection, movie frame, and Pro color, among others. For selfie addicts, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. 

Some noteworthy features include IP52 water/dust resistance, Bluetooth v5.1, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, and AI Face Unlock, among others. The Poco M4 5G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery under its hood, which supports 18W charging via the USB Type-C port. 

Poco M4 5G: Price, Availability

The Poco M4 5G comes at a starting price of ₹12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The top-spec 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹14,999 in India. It will go on sale on May 5 2022 via Flipkart. It comes in Cool Blue, Power Black, and Poco Yellow colourways.
