POCO M4 Pro 5G: Specifications and Features
The M4 Pro 5G flaunts a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It supports the DynamicSwitch feature that adjusts the refresh rate between 30Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz, depending on the content being displayed on the screen. The screen also houses the front selfie shooter inside a punch-hole-shaped cutout. The phone boots MIUI 12.5 out of the box, and it is based on Android 11.
The smartphone comes equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor that is fabbed on TSMC’s 6nm process. This is the same processor that powers Lava Agni 5G, Realme 8s 5G, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 5G, and more. The graphics processing is handled by the integrated Mali-G57 GPU. The handset packs up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. In case the onboard storage isn’t enough for you, the company is also providing an option to expand storage by a terabyte via the microSD card slot.
Talking about the camera, the POCO M4 Pro comes equipped with a dual-camera setup and a LED flash on the rear. For the selfies and video calls, there is a 16MP front shooter at the front. The primary shooter on the M4 Pro 5G is a 50MP sensor that gets coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. POCO has decided to ditch macro and depth sensors in order to make room for the ultrawide-angle camera. The dual-camera module resides on the top left corner of the phone’s rear and the company has tried hard to make it look like a quad-rear camera setup.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. It features a USB Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and stereo speakers. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS. The handset measures 163.56 x 75.78 x 8.75mm and weighs 195g. The POCO M4 Pro 5G comes in three colour variants: Power Black, Cool Blue, and POCO Yellow.
