Razer Kaira, Kaira Pro Wireless Headsets Unveiled For Playstation 5

Razer has taken the wraps off its Kaira and Kaira Pro wireless headsets for Playstation 5 users. Similar versions were launched for Xbox gaming consoles back in September 2021, when the popular gaming peripheral company announced to bring the Kaira headsets to gaming consoles. To differentiate from its Xbox versions, Razer has dipped these in a white and black paint scheme to match the Playstation 5’s colourway. The Kaira and the Kaira Pro headsets belong to the mid-range and premium category of headsets respectively and both come with 50mm drivers, Razer HyperSense, wireless connectivity, 3.5mm audio jack, and more.

The Razer Kaira and the Razer Kaira Pro wireless gaming headsets for Playstation 5 come in white and black paint scheme, blue accents, and flowknit/leatherette memory ear cushions. These headsets are powered by 50mm TriForce drivers, the Kaira Pro gets an additional titanium coating on the diaphragms, providing a clear and rich sounding experience while gaming.

Both the headsets connect wirelessly via a 2.4GHz dongle or Bluetooth and a wired connection via the 3.5mm audio jack. It gets a low-latency gaming mode which can be toggled on or off via the Razer Audio app or through the buttons on the headsets. The Kaira and the Kaira Pro come with Razer’s SmartSwitch feature, which allows the users to take calls and also block incoming calls while gaming.

The vanilla Kaira headset is equipped with a non-detachable Cardioid microphone. The Kaira Pro comes with a more advanced detachable Super-Cardioid microphone with noise cancellation mics on the sides and back for cutting unwanted ambient noises.

The Kaira Pro comes with a HyperSense feature, which offers inbuilt DSP (Digital Signal Processing), Lofelt L5 haptic drivers in each earcup, real-time processing, and requires no integration across platforms. The Kaira Pro also gets Razer’s Chroma RGB lights, which can be customised via the Razer Audio app.

The Razer Kaira (Playstation 5) is priced at $99 (around ₹7,351) and the Razer Kaira Pro (Playstation 5) is priced at $199 (around ₹14,777). It will be available via Razer.com in the US.
