Razer, the Singaporean-American company with the famous triple-headed green snake logo, is well known for its gaming-centric computer accessories and peripherals. Now, the company is looking to expand its productivity line-up with the introduction of its new Pro Type Ultra keyboard and a Pro Click Mini mouse. While its gaming keyboards and mouse devices carry a deep black look with RGB backlighting, the Pro Type Ultra Keyboard and the Pro Click Mini mouse go for an understated approach to appeal to the working professionals.
Snoring or constant clacking of keyboard and mouse can annoy your roommates or family members at night. Razer’s new products promise to address the latter if you work at home late in the night. Razer boasts about its engineering prowess which led to the quiet clicking mechanisms of its new Pro Type Ultra Keyboard and Pro Click Mini mouse. Let us dive into it to check how that works and what else these products bring to the table.
Razer Pro Type Ultra Keyboard Features, Specifications
The Pro Type Ultra Keyboard looks like an Alter-ego of Razer’s gaming keyboards. It is a full-size keyboard and wears a white/grey paint job for a more office-friendly look. It ditches the RGB Chroma lighting in favour of white LED backlighting. The keyboard also comes with a leatherette wrist rest to provide comfort for all-day usage.
The keyboard uses Razer’s Linear Yellow mechanical switches, which makes it quieter than usual keyboards. The keyboard also has dampening foam to soften the clicking sound. Razer claims the keys can endure up to 80 million presses. It comes with fingerprint-resistant keycaps with a soft-touch coating for added convenience.
The Razer Pro Type Ultra Keyboard uses Bluetooth or Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless dongle to connect wirelessly. Razer claims it can work for up to 214 hours on Bluetooth and up to 207 hours using the low-latency Razer HyperSpeed connection. You can charge it via a USB Type-C port and use it while it charges. The keyboard also offers connectivity with up to four devices at the same time, with onboard shortcuts to switch between them.
Razer Pro Click Mini Features, Specifications
The Razer Pro Click Mini mouse carries similar white/grey colours to match the keyboard. It sports Razer’s optical sensor with 12,000 DPI, with adjustability to select between 400, 800, 1600, 3200, and 6400 DPI modes. The mouse comes with a 4-way tiltable wheel for precise scrolling or zooming into documents or web pages. The mouse is rated for 15 million clicks. It takes two AA-size batteries and promises up to 725 hours on Bluetooth and up to 465 hours via the Razer HyperSpeed wireless dongle connection.
