The Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro were launched in India in March 2021. Many industry pundits speculated the Realme 9 to succeed the Realme 9 series by July. But, it has been almost nine months now and Madhav Sheth, VP Realme and CEO Realme India, stated the chip crisis as a major cause for the delay in the development of the Realme 9 series.
There have been a whole lot of leaks lately suggesting that the launch of the Realme 9 series is imminent. Realme is expected to launch its latest smartphones in early 2022. The vanilla Realme 9i and the top-spec Realme 9 Pro+ smartphones recently visited the CQC (China Quality Certification) confirming their battery specifications and fast charging support.

The power button will get an embedded fingerprint sensor with the volume buttons placed on the left side.
The report further states that the handset will sport a 6.6-inch FullHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a left-aligned punch-hole camera cut-out. The Realme 9i will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset. It will come with a maximum of 8GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage option.
