realme has announced an investment of ₹26.8 crores in India to manufacture the realme Buds Air 3. The brand is making this investment as part of the Make In India initiative. As a result of this campaign, realme promises that up to 1,000 job opportunities will be created in India.
For this, realme has teamed with KHY Electronics to manufacture the Buds Air 3, which is projected to speed up local procurement of production consumables, product accessories, and packaging materials, resulting in increased labour demand for Indian suppliers. realme also manufactures their Watch 2 Pro smartwatch at the same factory.

Aside from that, Realme has committed by spending INR 300 crores on building eight SMT lines for smartphone production in India since 2019.
Commenting on the development, Madhav Sheth, CEO, realme India, VP, realme, and President, realme International Business Group said, “India has always been one of the most important markets and investment destinations for realme. I am proud to say that we have made great strides in our ‘Make in India’ endeavor, achieving full local production of all smartphones and smart TVs in India.”
Sheth added, “With this investment, realme Buds Air 3, our flagship TWS earbuds with best-in-class Active Noise Cancellation, becomes India’s first locally-produced Active Noise Cancellation TWS earbuds with 100% localized production in the country. We always Dare to Leap and have bold and ambitious plans to strengthen our manufacturing capabilities in India. This year we are working towards achieving 100% local production of hearables and wearables as well and meet the burgeoning needs of millions of technology users in the country.”
