Realme GT 2 Series Confirmed To Launch on January 4: Expected Specifications, Price

After a couple of teasers, Realme has confirmed that it will be launching the Realme GT 2 series smartphones globally on January 4 2022. The Realme GT 2 series will also make its debut in the Chinese market on January 4, as confirmed by Realme on Weibo. The upcoming Realme GT 2 series will include two devices namely the Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro.

The specifications of the latter model are already known to us, courtesy of several past leaks. Additionally, a few days back, Realme had confirmed that the upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro will boast an ultrawide camera with a 150-degree field of view. Apart from this, the Chinese smartphone maker also revealed that the Realme GT 2 Pro will have an Antenna Array Matrix System and back panel made up of bio-polymer material.

Realme GT 2 Series Specifications (Expected)

According to the past few leaks, the Realme GT 2 Pro will have a Nexus 6P-like design. The handset will feature a triple-camera setup on the back which will be positioned horizontally. The device will flaunt a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that will have a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is already confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.

We can expect this upcoming smartphone to pack 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Since the brand has already announced the Realme UI 3.0-based on Android 12, we can expect the Realme GT 2 Pro to come pre-loaded with Android 12 only. As far as the rest of the specifications of the handset go, the device is expected to feature a 50MP main camera. The 50MP sensor might be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera.

The rear-facing cameras will be accompanied by a dual-LED flash. On the front side, the handset is rumoured to feature a 32MP camera. Speculations are rife that this upcoming handset will offer 125W fast charging support.

Realme GT 2 Pricing And Availability (Expected)

As per the rumours, the upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro will cost $799 (around ₹60,000). The $799 (around ₹60,000) price tag will, no doubt, be for the top-end Realme GT 2 Pro 12GB RAM model. As far as the availability of the device goes, we can expect the phone to start shipping in January or sometime in Q1 2022. As of now, the Realme GT 2 Pro India launch date is not known to us. Considering that the Realme GT series has received a good response in India, we can expect Realme to debut the Realme GT 2 series in India as well.
