Realme has confirmed that it will unveil its flagship GT 2 series globally at MWC 2022, scheduled to be held in Barcelona. The Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro are expected to be unveiled at the event. These smartphones were previously launched in the brand’s hometown, China, and are designed by famous Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa.
The launch date is set for February 28 at 9 am GMT (2:30 pm IST). The event will be live-streamed via Realme UK’s Twitter and YouTube handles. The phones are currently only arriving in the European Union, but we do expect the smartphones to arrive soon in India.

Realme GT 2 Series Specifications, Features
The Realme GT 2 sports a 6.62-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution. The GT 2 Pro has a larger 6.7-inch E4 LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with a QHD+ 3,216 × 1,440 pixels resolution.
Under the hood, the Realme GT 2 is fueled by a 5nm based octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, whereas the GT 2 Pro gets the latest 4nm based Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
When it comes to optics, the smartphone gets a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with a 1/1.56 inch sensor size, 84.4° field-of-view, an f/1.8 aperture, and OIS. This is teamed with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor in a triple-rear camera configuration.
The GT 2 Pro sports an identical back camera module, with one exception. Instead of the 8MP lens, there’s a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 ultrawide snapper. On the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro, a 16MP Sony IMX471 and 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor are used for selfies and video calls, respectively.
Both the smartphones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 65W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device offers Dual-SIM, 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, Multifunctional NFC, and Dual-band GPS.
