Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 10 Prime in India. The Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime offers similar specifications as that of the global Redmi 10 smartphone, except for its battery. The Redmi 10 Prime has a bigger, 6000mAh battery as compared to the Redmi 10’s 5,000mAh battery. The rest of the specifications of this smartphone remain similar to the Redmi 10, which means that it has a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, a 50MP quad-camera setup at the rear, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹14,499. The smartphone comes in three colour options: Astral White, Bifrost Blue, and Phantom Black. The phone will be available in India via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home Store, and other retail outlets starting September 7, 2021.
Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Specifications
The Redmi 10 Prime features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset that uses a 12nm design, an octa-core CPU, and the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The smartphone has 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. The Redmi 10 Prime is the first phone under the Redmi brand to offer 2GB of ‘Virtual RAM’. Obviously, Virtual RAM is nothing but a fancy word for memory paging that has been in the computing world for decades. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the power button. The device runs Android 11 out of the box.
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 has a quad-camera setup at the rear. The rectangular-shaped rear camera module houses a 50MP primary camera with an F1.8 aperture and PDAF, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video-calling, the device sports an 8MP front-facing camera. A 6,000mAh battery fuels the Redmi 10 and it supports 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. The company is bundling a 22.5W fast charger in the box.
Connectivity features of the Redmi 10 include a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone also features an IR sensor that lets you control your TV, AC, and other devices in your home.
