Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its Redmi 11 Prime 5G will make a debut in India on September 6 2022. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G will be a mid-range smartphone and is purportedly based on the Redmi Note 11E 5G, which is already available in China. The brand has now shared some images, key specifications, and Diwali launch offers of the device. Let’s have a look at what it offers.
Redmi 11 Prime 5G: Features
The Redmi 11 Prime 5G will come with a polycarbonate build and flat sides. Its design and colour scheme are identical to the Redmi Note 11E of China. On the front, it comes with a waterdrop notch on the top of the display. The display is speculated to be a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz display. At the rear, it gets a rectangular camera island, which houses the dual camera setup.
Redmi has confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is 5G capable and is also good for casual gaming. Redmi says that it can handle two 5G SIMs at a time. It will be equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

The handset will make do with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for biometrics. The device is confirmed to pack in a 5,000mAH battery pack under its hood, which will come with fast charging support.
The smartphone is made in India and could be one of the cheapest 5G smartphones in the country.
