Last month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi A1 in the Indian market. Now, the brand has added one more smartphone to the A-series—the Redmi A1+. The handset features the same specifications as that of the Redmi A1 but it also offers a fingerprint scanner. Similar to the Redmi A1, the Redmi A1+ is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor and offers a stock Android experience.

As an introductory offer, the Redmi A1+ will be available for purchase with a ₹500 discount. Do note that the introductory price is valid until October 31, 2022. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting at 12:00 PM, October 17 exclusively via Flipkart, Mi Store, Mi Home, and other retail outlets.
Redmi A1+: Specifications And Features
The all-new Redmi A1+ flaunts a 6.52-inch LCD display panel with an HD+ (1,600 × 720 pixel) resolution, 400 nits peak brightness, 120Hz touch sampling rate, and 70% NTSC colour gamut. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio panel that features a waterdrop notch.
Under the hood, the latest A-series smartphone sports a MediaTek Helio A22 processor. The graphics duties on the handset are taken care of by an integrated PowerVR GPU. It comes paired with up to 3GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Users also get an option to expand the storage further, up to 512GB, via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Talking about the optics, the Redmi A1+ offers a dual-rear camera setup that includes an 8MP primary shooter, a depth sensor, and an LED flash. For selfies and video calls, it comes equipped with a 5MP front shooter.
The latest A-series smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit and 10W charging support. It makes use of a micro-USB port for charging and data transfer. It also offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Redmi A1+ offers a stock Android experience and boots Android 12 Go Edition out of the box.
The Redmi A1+ comes in three colour options—Black, Light Blue, and Light Green. The handset features a leather texture finish similar to its sibling, the Redmi A1. It weighs 192 grams and measures 76.75mm × 164.9mm × 9.09mm. Connectivity options of the device include dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz only), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, AGPS, Glonass, and Beidou.
