Xiaomi is working on launching a new Redmi K-series smartphone in India. The brand recently took to its social media channels to tease the same. However, Xiaomi has not revealed any information regarding the launch timeline of the upcoming device. Meanwhile, a few leaks have popped up, which suggest that the upcoming K-series device will be the Redmi K50i. Also, a new report reveals details including the launch date, sale date, colour options, and RAM variants of the Redmi K50i. Let us take a look.

Redmi K50i India Launch Date, Colour And RAM Variants

According to a Pricebaba report, the Xiaomi Redmi K50i will launch on July 20th, 2022 in the country. The report further reveals that the smartphone will arrive in three colour options—Phantom Blue, Stealth Black, and Quick Silver. As per the report, the Xiaomi Redmi K50i will go on sale starting from July 22nd in India. The smartphone is also tipped to launch in two configurations—6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB in the Indian market.

Redmi K50i Key Specifications (Expected)

The Redmi K50i is said to feature a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will reportedly be an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor and a Mali G610 GPU. The Redmi K50i will boot MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.

In terms of imaging, the upcoming K-series smartphone might offer a triple-rear camera setup including a 64MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera. For selfies and video calling, the device is said to rely upon a 16MP selfie snapper. Coming to the battery, the Redmi K50i is said to be backed by a 5,080mAh battery unit with support for 67W fast charging. We can also expect the device to come bundled with a 67W charging adapter in the retail box.
