Redmi Note 10S to Launch in India on 13th May

The Redmi Note 10S made its debut in China alongside other Redmi Note 10 series devices in March this year. A couple of days ago, Redmi teased the launch of the smartphone in the Indian market. Today, the company has announced on Twitter that it will launch the Redmi Note 10S in India on 13th May 2021 at 12:00 PM IST. Redmi launched the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in the Indian market in March. With the launch of the Redmi Note 10S in India, the brand will have four Redmi Note 10 series smartphones in the country.

The Redmi Note 10S is expected to be placed between the Redmi Note 10 and the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which start at Rs 12,499 and Rs 15,999 respectively. Therefore, you can expect the Redmi Note 10S to be priced somewhere between Rs 12,499 and Rs 15,999. When launched, the Redmi Note 10S will compete with the likes of the Realme 8. Since the phone has already been launched in other countries, we already know its specifications. Let us have a look.

Redmi Note 10S specifications

The Redmi Note 10S comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display featuring full-HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla 3 protection. The phone has a 64MP primary camera at the rear accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. You get a 13MP camera for selfies. The primary camera at the rear can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second, whereas, the front-facing camera can record full-HD videos at 30 frames per second.

Powering the Redmi Note 10S is the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC made on 12nm fabrication process. The device runs on the Android 11 operating system with MIUI 12 customization. The Redmi Note 10S packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The phone gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. Connectivity options of the device include two SIM card slots with support for the 4G network, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
