Xiaomi has dropped another teaser for its upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ smartphones. The teaser confirms the inclusion of the 120W fast charging technology and the smartphones will be the first smartphones in India to get it. Xiaomi initially lagged in the fast-charging race against rivals from the BBK stable: Vivo, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus, and iQOO. Later, with the introduction of 67W wired charging support in June 2021, it showed its capabilities in developing fast-charging technologies. Now, it is set to revolutionise the mid-range smartphone category with the inclusion of 120W fast charging.
Xiaomi says it has installed multiple sensors in the smartphone motherboard, USB-C port, and battery for real-time thermal monitoring, which provides efficient battery charging without damaging the internals. It has also incorporated several battery safety features which would provide surge protection to the battery charging circuit.
