The latest development comes from the popular tipster Mukul Sharma. While he did reveal the moniker, there’s currently no word on the launch date or pricing of the tablet. The specifications of the tablet are revealed in a report from ITHome.
Xiaomi recently sent out a questionnaire to certain Chinese consumers, and one of the subjects appeared to refer to a Redmi Pad 5G. For starters, the Redmi Pad 5 may be a mid-range tablet powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor with cellular connectivity, SA and NSA dual 5G modes.
The tablet’s display size and resolution are currently unknown. However, it is anticipated to include a 90Hz refresh rate display. The device’s design may have minimal bezels and a selfie camera located at the top.
The Redmi Pad 5 is reported to include a 30W ultra-fast flash charging technology and ultra-linear quad-speaker setup. Additionally, it may run MIUI PadOS 13 out of the box. It would be interesting to see how Redmi would price the tablet in India.

The Redmi Pad 5 is expected to cost roughly CNY 1,999 (about ₹23,000) in China. Considering that the Xiaomi Pad 5 with the Snapdragon 860 SoC presently retails for ₹26,999 in India, the Redmi Pad 5 is expected to be priced around the ₹20,000 mark in the country.
