Alongside the Redmi K50 Gaming smartphone, Redmi also unveiled its Redmi Router AX5400, which is the brand’s first-ever gaming router. The Redmi Router AX5400 features a 2.5G Ethernet port, which can be used specifically for gaming or external NAS device plug-ins. Let’s take a look at the price, specifications, and features of the newly launched Redmi Router AX5400 and find out what the router has in store for us.

Redmi Router AX5400 Price

The Redmi Router AX5400 is priced at CNY 599 or around Rs 7,090. The newly launched router will be available in China for now. The first sale for the router has already started in the country. For now, there’s no word whether the brand will unveil its Redmi Router AM5400 in the global market.

Redmi Router AX5400 Specifications

The Redmi Router AX5400 offers up to 5400 Mbps 802.11 ax Wi-Fi speed. The router is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm IPQ5018 SoC, 1GHz NPU, and 512MB RAM. Coming to its antennas, the Redmi Router AX5400 features 4 external omnidirectional antennas.

The router features OFDMA+MU-MIMO technology, which allows its multiple antennas to serve multiple devices at the same time, thereby enhancing the user experience. It has support for mesh networking as well, so users can connect multiple routers. The Redmi Router AX5400 can support up to 248 connected devices and offers real-time monitoring, parental controls via the Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi app available on Android and iOS devices. For security, the Redmi Router AX5400 features WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK/WPA3-SAE encryption.
