The first smartwatch from Redmi, the Redmi Watch, made its debut in China last November. Now, it looks like the Redmi Watch is set to hit the Indian shores soon. Earlier today, Redmi India took it to Twitter to tease the launch of a new wearable in the Indian market. While the tweet doesn’t mention the name of the device, the wearable shown in the teaser video seems to be the Redmi Watch. Going by the tweet, the Redmi Watch will launch in India on 13th May, which is also when the company plans to bring the Redmi Note 10S to the Indian market.

When launched, the Redmi Watch will be the second wearable from the brand in the country with the first one being the Redmi Smart Band which was launched in India last September.
Redmi Watch price in India (expected)
The Redmi Watch costs CNY 269 (approximately Rs 3,000) in the Chinese market. However, it might launch in India with a slightly higher price tag. If Redmi’s price history is anything to go by, we can expect the Redmi Watch price in India to be under Rs 5,000.
Redmi Watch specifications
Since the Redmi Watch has already been launched in China, we know all of its specifications. The Redmi Watch has a square dial with a 1.4-inch IPS LCD featuring 320 x 320 pixels resolution. The smartwatch comes loaded with 120 watch faces in China.
The Redmi Watch has an optical heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, a geomagnetic sensor, and an ambient light sensor. It can track up to seven workout activities such as running, cycling, swimming, etc. The smartwatch also has 30-day heart rate tracking as well as sleep monitoring.
While the company hasn’t revealed the details regarding the processor of the Redmi Watch, the wearable runs on a proprietary OS. Connectivity options of the smartwatch include Bluetooth v5.0 and NFC for payments. The Redmi Watch comes with a 230mAh battery and a 7-day battery life claim.
