India’s largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio, had announced the Reliance JioPhone Next during its Annual General Metting (AGM) in June 2021. The company has plans to sell it as the most affordable 4G smartphone in India. The company had confirmed that the Reliance JioPhone Next will be made in partnership with Google and it will have some cutting-edge features like a digital voice assistant, automatic read-aloud of screen text, language translation, and a smart camera with AR (Augmented Reality) filters. Now, full specifications of the Reliance JioPhone Next have been revealed ahead of its launch.

The phone reportedly features a display with HD+ resolution (1,440 x 720 pixels). At the heart of this affordable 4G phone, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 processor that uses four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 1.3GHz. The device is said to pack up to 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The smartphone is said to offer up to 20% faster app launches compared to its previous version. As for the software purpose, the Reliance JioPhone Next is rumoured to run Android 11 Go Edition. The phone will feature Google Assistant and most other Google apps such as Gmail, Google Drive, and more.
The device is expected to feature a 13MP primary camera (OmniVision OV13B10 sensor) on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera (GC8034W sensor). We can expect the device to offer 1080p video recording since the Snapdragon 215 is capable of recording videos in that resolution. The Reliance JioPhone Next is also tipped to feature Google Camera Go and Google Duo Go apps.
Reliance Jio will launch the JioPhone Next on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi (10 September 2021) in India. We should get to learn more details of the smartphone, including detailed specifications and pricing once it launches in India next month.
