Samsung has silently announced a new A-series handset—the Samsung Galaxy A23. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and has a 5,000mAh battery. It offers a 50MP rear camera setup and a large display with Full HD resolution. The smartphone comes in four attractive color options.
Let us take a closer look at Samsung Galaxy A23 specifications and features.
Samsung Galaxy A23 Specifications and Features
The Galaxy A23 flaunts a 6.6-inch TFT display with a Full HD+ (1,080 × 2,408 pixel) resolution and an Infinity-V notch. The display panel also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, the handset sports an octa-core processor with a 2.4GHz peak frequency. Samsung hasn’t specifically mentioned the processor details. However, based on a Geekbench listing, which was spotted earlier, the handset is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. The Snapdragon 680 is built on TSMC’s 6nm fabrication process and brings with it an Adreno 610 GPU.

Users will have an option to choose between 64GB and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphone boots Android 12, with One UI 4.1 skin on top.
In terms of optics, the Galaxy A23 relies on a quad-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The camera module on the device looks similar to that of last year’s Galaxy A52. The primary camera on the device is a 50MP sensor with an F1.8 aperture. Accompanying it is a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an F2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro lens with an F2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with a F2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, it relies on an 8MP shooter that has an F2.2 aperture.
The handset is powered by a 5,000mAh battery unit and supports 25W fast charging. However, the company will not bundle the 25W fast charging adapter with the box. It has a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a micro-SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Galaxy A23 will be available in four colour options—white, peach, blue, and black. It measures 165.4 × 76.9 × 8.44mm and weighs 195g. The company is yet to announce the pricing and the availability of the device.
