Samsung has scheduled a Galaxy A Event for March 17, 2022, and the company is likely to unveil new Galaxy A series smartphones. A number of Samsung’s A-series phones, including the Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A23, and Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, have been leaked already.
There are no verified specifics on what we’ll see on March 17, and the invitation doesn’t tell much either. However, we expect the company to unveil the Galaxy A53 and the Galaxy A73 at the event.
Samsung Galaxy A53, Galaxy A73 To Debut On March 17
Samsung’s next Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event is set to take place on March 17, 2022, and will be live-streamed on Samsung.com, Samsung’s YouTube channel, and the Samsung Newsroom starting at 10 AM EDT (7:30 PM IST). Samsung is expected to introduce at least two new mid-range smartphones: Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A53.
The Galaxy A33, Galaxy A23, and additional Galaxy A smartphones are rumoured to be on the way. At an event held around the same time last year, Samsung had revealed the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72.
Samsung Galaxy A53, Galaxy A73 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A53 is reported to feature a 6.46-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 750G processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It is reportedly powered by a 5,000mAh battery and offer 25W fast charging support.
Four rear-facing cameras (64MP OIS Primary + 12MP Ultrawide + 5MP Macro + 5MP Depth Sensor), a 32MP selfie camera, stereo speakers, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and an under-screen fingerprint sensor might be amongst the Galaxy A53’s other features. It could run Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy A73 may feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The A-series smartphone may come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor in some regions and Exynos 1280 in other regions, paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. It could have a microSD card slot, too.
The phone could run Android 12 out of the box and get three or four major Android OS updates. As for the cameras, the Galaxy A73 is expected to offer a quad-camera setup on the rear, including a 108MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front, it could offer a 32MP shooter. It could be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and support 25W fast wired charging.
