Samsung will be introducing a couple of laptops in the Indian market this week. While the Galaxy Book 2 Pro and Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 will be premium offerings, the Samsung Galaxy Book Go will excite those on a budget. The Samsung Galaxy Book Go was launched globally last year in June and is finally set to arrive in India. It is a thin and lightweight laptop packed with a Snapdragon processor, UFS type storage, 180-degree hinge, and Windows 11 operating system, among other features.

The laptop sports a 14-inch Full HD LCD display, which is likely to be a TN panel, and comes with a 180-degree hinge. It comes with a US military MIL-STD-810G certification to withstand some kind of abuse.
The Samsung Galaxy Book Go for India is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor, which is built specifically for laptops. It is built on the 8nm fabrication process and can be used in thin and light laptops for fanless operation. The octa-core CPU comprises two Kryo 495 Gold cores clocked at up to 2.55 GHz and six small Kryo 495 Silver cores clocked at 2.4 GHz. The chipset comes with Adreno 618 GPU to handle graphical duties. Qualcomm says it is about 60 percent more power-efficient than rival chips such as the Intel Celeron N4020 and Pentium Silver N5030. The notebook will come in 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variants.
The Galaxy Book Go gets a modest 720p webcam for selfies and video calling. For audio, the Galaxy Book Go features two stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos.
In terms of connectivity, it gets two USB Type-C ports, one USB 2.0, a micro SD card slot, and a microphone. The laptop comes loaded with Samsung’s ecosystem features such as Quick Share, SmartThings, easy Bluetooth connection, Second Screen, and Galaxy Book smart switch. The notebook supports USB Type-C charging and is claimed to last up to 18 hours of video playback.

Samsung has confirmed that its Galaxy Book Go will go on sale via Amazon in India. Flipkart too has listed the device along with its pre-order date, which is March 18. Expect the laptop to be priced anywhere around ₹30,000 when it goes on sale.
