Samsung has just introduced its Galaxy M13 series of mid-range smartphones in the Indian market. The series comprises two handsets, namely the Galaxy M13 and the Galaxy M13 5G. They share the same name and similar designs, but their dimensions, cameras, and internals are different. The 4G variant is powered by an Exynos processor, while the 5G capable variant gets a MediaTek Dimensity series chipset. Let’s have a closer look at both the smartphones below.
Samsung Galaxy M13: Features, Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M13 4G variant comes with a dreadful waterdrop notch on the display, which makes it look like a device from 2018. The thick bottom bezel doesn’t help its aesthetics either. It sports a 6.6-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution and 480 nits of peak brightness. The display gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The handset is powered by Samsung’s homegrown octa-core Exynos 850 chipset built on the 8nm fabrication process. It comes equipped with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 1TB via the microSD card slot.

Some noteworthy features of the device include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and GLONASS, among others. Samsung M13 5G: Features, Specifications
The Samsung M13 5G gets a slightly smaller 6.5-inch LCD with a lower HD+ display resolution compared to the 4G variant. However, it makes up for that by adding a 90Hz screen refresh rate. This one too gets the obsolete-looking Infinity-V notch on the display.
The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, built on the 7nm fabrication process and is much more powerful than the Exynos variant. It is equipped with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via the microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the device makes do with a dual camera setup comprising a 50MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and an ancillary 2MP depth sensor. The 5MP front-facing shooter handles selfie and video calling duties.
Most 5G smartphones in this category get one or two 5G bands, but the Samsung M13 5G packs in 11 5G bands—N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N20, N28, N38, N40, N41, and N78. This will ensure you will get 5G connectivity in most parts of the world while travelling. Other notable features include dual SIM, 5G SA/NSA, Bluetooth v5.1, fingerprint sensor (side-mounted), 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port, among others. It packs in a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support. This handset runs on One UI Core 4 on top of Android 12 OS.
