Samsung has officially confirmed the Galaxy S22 launch date and release date. As per the Korean news outlet DDaily, Samsung will hold the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event on February 8, 2022, to announce the Galaxy S22 series. The event will be held online, similar to last year.
As per the information shared by Samsung officials, the company has finalized the event for February 8, and the brand is aiming to send official invitations for the event by the end of January 2022.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Launch Date, Pre-Order Date Revealed Ahead Of Announcement
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be available for pre-order from February 9, 2022, just one day after the official announcement. The general sales of the upcoming smartphones will reportedly start on February 24, 2022. The company will start shipping the pre-ordered devices from February 21, 2022.

Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra Specifications
Samsung’s next flagship smartphone lineup is expected to include three devices: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. All these smartphones are rumoured to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. In some markets, the South-Korean smartphone maker will release the phones with its in-house Exynos 2200 chipset, which will be announced on January 11, 2022.
If we recall previous leaks, the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ are expected to feature a triple-camera setup. The camera setup might include a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Galaxy S22 will have a 6-inch display, while the Galaxy S22+ will have a 6.5-inch display.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, 1,700 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz display. All these upcoming high-end phones are expected to offer 5G connectivity, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a USB Type-C port, up to 45W fast charging, 15W fast wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra will run Android 12 out of the box with One UI 4.0. They will get three major Android OS updates and security updates for up to four years. Other features could include Samsung DeX and Samsung Pay.
It was recently leaked that the Galaxy S22 will come in at least four colours: Green, Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Pink Gold. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will debut in four colour variants: Burgundy, Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom White.
