Samsung has announced a new rugged tablet under the Galaxy Tab lineup—the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro. The rugged tablet from Samsung features IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certifications and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. The tablet features a 10.1-inch display and is equipped with a 7,600mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro is priced at €829 (approx. ₹65,906) for the 6GB + 128GB configuration. The tablet will be available for purchase from this month in European markets. Samsung plans to bring the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro to America and the Middle East in late 2022.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro flaunts a 10.1-inch TFT LCD display panel with 1,920 × 1,200 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It offers a 13MP rear camera with an F1.9 aperture and an LED flash. For video calls, it has an 8MP shooter with an F2.0 aperture.

Powering the latest rugged tablet is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor that comes with an integrated Adreno 642L GPU. The Snapdragon 778G is manufactured on TSMC’s 6nm process and brings with it up to 128GB of onboard storage and up to 6GB of RAM. It has a hybrid (nano + nano/microSD) SIM card slot that supports up to 1TB storage.

The all-new Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro packs a 7,600mAh removable battery and 25W fast charging support. It is worth noting that Samsung will not bundle the charging brick in the retail box which means users need to buy the charger separately. The Tab Active 2 Pro has a USB 3.2 Type-C port and makes use of pogo pins for charging.

The Tab Active 4 Pro weighs 674 grams and measures 242.9 × 170.2 × 10.2 mm. It features a fingerprint scanner and a dual-microphone setup. The tablet comes pre-loaded with Samsung’s proprietary OneUI 4 which is based on Android 12. It is eligible for three years of Android upgrades and five years of security patch updates.

The Tab Active 4 Pro supports S-Pen which is bundled in the box. It has an IP68 rating which makes it water and dust-resistant. Besides, it is US Military Standard MIL-STD-810H certified. Samsung is also bundling a 1.2m anti-shock protective cover in the retail box. Connectivity options of the tablet include dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, and Beidou.
