It’s no secret that Google and Samsung worked together to resurrect the WearOS platform. Last year, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 was released as the first product of the collaboration. With its one-year anniversary approaching, the Galaxy Watch 4 now has a definite timeframe for Google Assistant integration.
Google Assistant will be available on the Galaxy Watch 4 later this summer. Samsung confirmed the news in a blog post, stating that the much-anticipated feature will be available on the Galaxy Watch 4 this summer. Given that summer is only a few weeks away, we should see some improvements by next month.

Last year, shortly after the lineup’s release, Samsung stated that Google Assistant would be coming to the Galaxy Watch 4. However, the company has been fairly silent in the months following the announcement, even as Google offered the first look at its smartwatch. Do note that Google Assistant is not the only feature that will be available on the Galaxy Watch 4.
According to Samsung, “rapid answers” will be an important element of this new watch experience. In addition, the firm is collaborating with Google to bring more Google apps and services to the Watch 4 that are “tailored for Galaxy Watches”. These Google apps could be OneUI-optimized versions of ordinary Google apps or entirely new applications.
