Samsung is finally releasing Google Assistant for the Galaxy Watch 4. The Wear OS feature was missing from the Galaxy Watch 4 lineup, and users had to rely on Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant instead.
As announced at Google I/O 2022, the Google Assistant support is finally rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series in select countries.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Google Assistant: Supported Countries
The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 series is now officially supported by Google Assistant in the following countries:
- United States
- Canada
- The UK
- Ireland
- France
- Germany
- Australia
- Japan
- Korea
- Taiwan
The update is rolling out via the Google Play Store and users can finally download the Google Assistant to perform all the usual functions, including asking questions, setting alarms and timers, checking the weather, and more via their Galaxy Watch4 wearables.

Samsung’s official announcement states, “Starting today, Galaxy Watch4 users will also be able to download Google Assistant on their devices, gaining access to fast, more natural voice interactions, quick answers to questions and on-the-go help. With access to both Bixby and Google Assistant, consumers will have access to more advanced voice assistant functionality right from their wrists.“
