Samsung had released an update to the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic back in October last year, adding new watch faces, fall detection, as well as other features. Now, the smartwatches are getting another big software update, with a new “sleep coaching program”, a wider range of matching watch straps and faces, as well as a fitness program feature.
Moreover, cyclists and runners will be delighted to know of the advanced internal training feature that the update brings. The update will start rolling out from February 10 via the Galaxy Wearable app.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Fitness Program
The latest update promises to motivate you to work out, with none other than “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth to guide you. Samsung Health, in partnership with Hemsworth’s digital fitness program Centr, aims to help users “transform their health, fitness and mindset”. That’s not all, Galaxy Watch4 users will also get a 30-day trial with “full and unrestricted access to Centr”. It is to be noted that it is available only for new Centr customers who sign up via Samsung Health on Centr.com.
Runners and cyclists will get a new interval target feature on their updated Galaxy Watch4, which will let them “pre-set the duration, distance and number of sets for their workout”. Besides, users will also get a tailor-made intensity training session.
Better Sleep Tracking
The latest update for the Samsung Galaxy Wath4 promises to help improve sleep habits, building upon its existing sleep tracking features. It will track your sleep for seven days and assign you one of the “sleep symbol animals” based on your sleep type. It will then offer a five-week coaching program to improve your sleep quality.
Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Heart Health Monitor
The Samsung Galaxy Watch4, with the help of its BioActive Sensor technology and Samsung Health Monitor app, will measure both blood pressure (BP) and electrocardiogram (ECG). The Samsung Health Monitor app is currently available in “43 markets globally, expanding to 11 more in March, including Canada, Vietnam and South Africa”.
Wider Range of Matching Straps and Watch Faces
The latest Galaxy Watch4 update will let you choose from more colors and digital clock fonts to customize your watch face. The company has also announced that new strap colors such as burgundy and cream, along with a new fabric band and link bracelet will be available from late February.
