Samsung tasted huge success with its Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable smartphones last year. Now, it is gearing up to launch its 2022 versions. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 mysteries may unfold at the Unpacked event in August 2022.
However, months ahead of the unveil, 91mobiles in association with OnLeaks have managed to lay their hands on some exclusive information and images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 was a more practical choice when compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 owing to its compact form factor and flip type mechanism. Samsung has taken a “Why fix it, when it isn’t broken?” approach while designing its successor. From the design standpoint, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is identical to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Going by the images, it carries forward the flip-style folding mechanism, aluminium chassis, and a glass back.
The smartphone is reported to sport a 6.7-inch display, and it comes with a centrally placed punch-hole camera cutout as before. Although the main screen size is unchanged, the cover screen is expected to be larger.

According to the report, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 7.2mm when unfolded. It is thicker than the Galaxy Z Flip 3 by 0.3mm, as it now comes with a thickness of 7.2mm. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 came with an octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset built on the 5nm process. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is believed to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor, which is built on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process.
There’s a USB Type-C port, microphone, SIM tray, and speaker grille at the bottom of the handset. It still persists with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button placed on the right of the device. One area where the Galaxy Z Flip 3 lagged behind the competition, was the lack of fast charging support. We hope that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with fast charging support and a bigger battery pack. Expect it to come in various colour options apart from the blue shade in the pictures.
