Samsung has finally launched the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event where the brand also launched the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, Galaxy Watch 5, and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with significant improvements in almost every aspect. A few highlights of the device include a 6.2-inch 120Hz cover display, a 7.6-inch 120Hz main display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, up to 12GB RAM and 1TB storage, a 50MP triple-camera setup at the rear, and a 4,400mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 price starts at $1,799 (approximately ₹1,42,508). The base variant has 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. There are also 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB configurations on offer. The brand hasn’t announced the pricing of those two variants yet. There is also no information yet regarding the Indian pricing of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The phone, however, is available for pre-reservation in India through Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung’s official online store, and authorised retail stores.
Samsung has also launched leather covers for the Fold 4 which cost $79. There is also a standing cover which can accommodate S-Pen and is priced at $89.

The refresh rate is variable from 1Hz to120Hz. The cover display makes room for a 4MP shooter inside a centred punch hole notch.
The main display on the latest Fold series is a 7.6-inch dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a QXGA+ (2,176 x 1,812 pixels) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate (variable between 1 to 120Hz), and HDR10+. The main display on the device houses a 10MP shooter.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and Adreno 730 GPU. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 uses TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process and brings with it up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. The latest foldable from Samsung ships with OneUI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L.
For photography, the Z Fold 4 offers a triple-rear camera setup at the rear. The primary camera is a 50MP sensor with dual-pixel PDAF and optical image stabilization (OIS). The second camera is a 12MP ultra-wide unit. The third sensor is a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, dual-pixel PDAF, and OIS. The smartphone is capable of recording videos in 8K at 24fps and 4K at 60fps.
The all-new Galaxy Z Fold 4 is backed by a 4,400mAh total battery capacity that is split between two battery units. It supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The foldable features an IPX8 rating, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button, and stereo speakers among other things.
