Samsung Brings New Watch Faces, Fall Detection, And More From Galaxy Watch 4 To Galaxy Watch, Watch Active, Watch Active 2, Galaxy Watch 3

Samsung had released an update to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic on October 20, 2021, adding new watch faces, fall detection, and some feature additions. Now it has rolled out a software update to its Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, and the Galaxy Watch 3, adding some new features and watch faces to extend its software support to older Galaxy smartwatches.

Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, Galaxy Watch 3 Get New Watch Faces, Improved Fall Detection

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 and the Galaxy Watch 3 will now get the Fall Detection feature, just like the Galaxy Watch 4. It will detect if the user has encountered a fall while running or exercising and will send an SOS alert notification to the user pre-selected contacts. This feature will ensure that the required help is provided as soon as possible. 

The Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, and Galaxy Watch 3 will get group workout challenges to keep you connected and motivated to follow your fitness regime. You can add friends or family members to the challenge and compete as a team or against each other. It will also display your progress in the challenge, right on the smartwatch’s display.

The Samsung Health Monitor app was recently introduced on the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and the feature will trickle down to the Galaxy Watch Active 2 and the Galaxy Watch 3. Users will be able to check heart rate, blood oxygen levels, Electrocardiogram (ECG), sleep tracking, and stress levels to get an overview of their health through the Samsung Health Monitor app. It is currently available in 42 markets and expanding to more.

The Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, and the Galaxy Watch 3 will get additional ten new watch faces, which were first featured on the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. These new watch faces are Active, Animals, Big Numbers, Color Duo, Cute Character, Endangered Animal, Premium Analog, Simple, Simple Classic White, and Simple Dark Green. Tapping on the watch face will allow you to select different backgrounds and text colours. The new animals watch face will allow you to pick colourful animated creatures like a monkey, rabbit, sheep, or a cat.
